Privacy Policy

This is an English translation of the Turkish Privacy Policy. If the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.

This policy explains what information is processed when you use Baby Camera (the "App"). In short: video and sound are never stored on any server, you don't need an account, and there are no ads or tracking.

1. Video and sound

Video and sound from the camera device are sent directly and encrypted (DTLS-SRTP) to the watching device using WebRTC technology. Video and sound are not sent to our servers, and are not recorded, stored or analyzed. When network conditions don't allow a direct connection, traffic may pass through a relay (TURN) server; in that case the content stays encrypted and cannot be decrypted by the relay server.

2. Information used to establish the connection

So that two devices can find each other, short connection messages (network address candidates and connection parameters) are passed through a signaling server. These messages are encrypted on your device with a key derived from the secret in the QR code; the signaling server cannot read their content and the messages are not stored. These messages may contain your devices' IP addresses during the connection.

Browser code: when you get a code under “Use in a browser” in the Baby Camera app, the app sends the Apple-signed proof of purchase to our server. It is used only to confirm that the app was purchased and is not stored. The server keeps only an irreversible hash (SHA-256) of the purchase identifier, a hash of the code, when the code expires and was used, and how many browsers were enabled in a year. Your name, email address or Apple Account are never sent to us. The browser where you enter the code stores a signed license and sends it to the other device when connecting.

3. Information stored on your device

The App stores your camera ID, your saved cameras, your camera, quality and language preferences, the fact that you accepted the terms and, if any, the browser license, in your browser's local storage (localStorage). Apart from the browser license, this information does not leave your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data.

4. Information we don't collect

No account, name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or photo library information is collected. There is no cookie-based analytics, advertising or user tracking. We do not process any video or sound of your child.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children; it is designed to be used by parents and caregivers. The App does not collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

You can send requests regarding your rights under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) to the contact address below. Since no video, sound or account information is stored, we hold no records relating to such data for deletion or access requests.

This policy may be updated. The current version is always published on this page.
